Time After Time

posted in Bloggage on 04/09/09 at 03:04 PM

So, I keep coming by here and just staring at this screen. I’m just not sure what to post up here anymore. Aeryn.org started out as my personal journal and a place for me to post funny things or whatever I came across that made me smile. It wasn’t really a site for strangers, just for me. Then the site turned into a Cancer site just because I was going through my own cancer treatments and needed a place to vent out my anger and frustration, as well as interact with others going through similar things. Now that I am past the treatments and just going in for check-ups, woo hoo, I find that talking about all that happened is actually quite depressing for me. It just brings up all the old bad memories that I would never want to go through again, so I stopped talking about it. Eventually all my site traffic wandered off and that’s cool with me!

Now i’m left at a stand-off though since i’m not sure where to take my site now. I’m not a Mother so I can’t do a “Mommy Blog”, i’m not some computer specialist that can talk about the techie stuff, and that leaves me scratching my head. I guess until I figure out what I want my site to be when it grows up i’ll just start back at the beginning all over again. Can’t be THAT bad… can it? ;)

Sooooooooo, HI! My name is Aeryn. How are you today?

Christmas Poem

posted in Bloggage on 12/12/08 at 01:12 AM

I don’t usually like to post things like this since i’m not a very religious person but this little thing right here made me shout Merry Christmas. =]

*Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas – no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people’s feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a ‘ Holiday ‘.*
*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe’s the word Christmas – was nowhere to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny’s and Sears*
*You won’t hear the word Christmas; it won’t touch your ears.*
*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me..*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*
*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate ‘Winter Break’ under your ‘Dream Tree’*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*
*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS , not Happy Holiday !*

MERRY CHRISTMAS
